The samurai sword or Katana was the samurai's primary weapon. These swords were made by master blacksmiths and are considered to be some of the finest swords ever made. They were razor sharp, and perfectly balanced to be used with one hand or two. Our version is 36 inches long and has a two-handed handle and a single edge, much like the original.
Our economically priced Oriental-style swords are made from 5/8" thick pine with 1 3/8" wide blades. These swords are modeled after the set of three swords worn by the samurai warriors.
Our Ninja sword is actually modeled after the Ninja-Toh used by ninja assassins and the Wakizashi worn as a secondary blade by samurai warriors. Traditionally, the wakizashi was slightly curved and much higher quality than the ninja-toh. Samurai warriors always wore the katana and the wakizashi, as a pair, on the same side. The ninja-toh had a straight blade and often included useful tools in the scabbard to help the ninjas in their dark trade. Our Ninja sword is 28 inches long with a two-handed handle and a single edge, similar to the Samurai sword.
The Tanto was the smallest of the three blades worn by the samurai warriors and was always worn on the opposite side from the two larger swords. Our version is 20 inches long with a one-handed handle.
Our standard black nylon belt with 3 sword loops to hold a full set of samurai swords.
